The Ultimate Cyclocross Wheelset for those on a budget
860 grams - 28 Spoke Count rear - Quest Centerlock Hub
865 grams - 28 Spoke Count rear - White Industries CLD
For cyclocross, tubular still has a major advantage over clincher. You can run lower tire pressure for better traction. You have lower weight, and the feel of a tubular tire is still better than any clincher. If you are looking for the best possible wheel set for racing cross, tubular should be your choice.

This Black and Tan rim is designed for cyclocross. It's not some road rim hoping to pull double duty, leaving you with a gluing surface that doesn't hold the tire on well. The 23.5mm wide rim has a rim bed specifically designed for a 32mm cyclocross tire. Glue easily, glue confidently, and ride confident that your tires will stay where you want them!
With this, the minimum tire size recommended for the Black and Tan is 27mm
BEAD BLASTED FINISH
It's more than just a cosmetic finish (although it does look very cool!). The rims go through a round of bead blasting before getting anodized. This allows more anodization to seep into the rim, which helps to create a stronger and stiffer rim. This gives a sleek matte finish with an extra layer of strength for each rim.
We now have a water transfer decal, baked into the rim. We are able to offer a nice mix of pop and stealth to the new Black and Tans. Light gray (semi stealth) logos display on the side of each rim, with a white, newly revised, Black and Tan logo at the valve. Lets face it, looking good is half the battle and so having a wheelset that performs and looks great was definitely a priority.

Pinnacle Hookless Front WheelUSD $775.00 – USD $925.00
Designed for high volume, low pressure gravel and cyclocross tires.
The jury is in: Gravel riding and racing is here to stay, with increasingly popular events blanketing the globe – along with purpose-built bikes to match. We’ve long-since dispelled the naysayers, usually by taking them on our favorite off-piste routes out our back door into the Blue Ridge Mountains. Following up on our groundbreaking Jocassee 650b hookless gravel wheel, we present the all-new competition-ready Pinnacle. Designed around a 32-40mm 700c tire setup, the Pinnacle follows down the trail the Jocassee blazed, but with a more-traditional wheel diameter and the litany of aerodynamically-friendly tire choices it affords.
