The CCC is a wheelset that can handle rugged off-road terrain, while still performing on pavement sections. The alloy gravel-specific rim is 25mm internal and has a 2.8mm offset. It features smaller .7mm hooks (compared to most standard 1.1mm hooks) with increased thickness on the hook walls (1.35mm) for better impact protection while running lower pressures.

This handcrafted wheel is laced with double-butted j-bend spokes and brass nipples and features a 2.8mm spoke offset to ensure better spoke balance. Two cross lacing pattern built to withstand high-torque loads and multiple spoke count options to handle the largest loads. This wheel spins BOYD Quest disc brake hubs that feature five degrees of engagement, quick swap freehub body, press-fit end caps and is compatible with Shimano, Sram and Campagnolo cassettes. This disc brake specific wheelset weighs in at 1515g and is for every day and every road.
THE NAME: CCC
The CCC, a name engrained in history as the wooded roads it represents, borrows its moniker from the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). The CCC was a voluntary public unemployment program designed to provide jobs for young men and to help families who faced challenges finding jobs during the Great Depression. In the mountains of South Carolina there are remnants of “Old CCC” roads deep in the woods that have become favorite exploration destinations for Boyd Johnson, founder of Boyd Cycling.
