While all companies have seemed to abandon rim brake options, we know just how many people love their current bikes. If you want to keep that bike you already have, but get a great upgrade over the wheels it came with, the Rouleur is an excellent budget friendly upgrade.
One of our long time favorites, the Rouleur is back as part of our Prologue Alloy Series. A great upgrade over a heavy stock OEM wheel, the Rouleur offers a modern 21mm wide internal / 26mm wide external tubeless rim bed.
This handcrafted wheel is laced with double-butted j-bend spokes and brass nipples. Radial Front and two cross lacing pattern built to withstand high-torque loads. This wheel spins BOYD Skyuka rim hubs that feature 10 degrees of engagement and is compatible with Shimano and Sram cassettes. This rim brake specific wheelset weighs in at 1650g and is for every day and every road.
Skyuka Hubs
The Skyuka hubs have durability in mind. While this can add a few grams over the Quest hubs, the Skyuka hubs have unbeatable torque handling with 4 pawl engaging simultaneously on 36 teeth (which gives a quick 10 degrees of engagement).
