GVL stands for Gravel. It's also our home of Greenville, SC. Are we a little biased that we have some of the best gravel roads around? You bet! This handcrafted wheel is laced with double-butted j-bend spokes and brass nipples. Two cross lacing pattern built to withstand high-torque loads. This wheel spins BOYD Skyuka disc hubs that feature 10 degrees of engagement and is compatible with Shimano and Sram cassettes. This disc brake specific wheelset weighs in at 1895g and is for every day and every road.
Skyuka Hubs
The Skyuka hubs have durability in mind. While this can add a few grams over the Quest hubs, the Skyuka hubs have unbeatable torque handling with 4 pawl engaging simultaneously on 36 teeth (which gives a quick 10 degrees of engagement).
