Not all gravel is fast.
The Reiver is built for the gravel that fights back.

Is this wheel right for you?

BEST FOR

Cyclists whose gravel looks more like chunky fire roads and rough singletrack

Big adventure rides and bikepacking, where a long walk home is not an option

Heavier or more aggressive cyclists who want strength first

Running high-volume tires (35mm to 55mm) at low pressure

Cyclists who want carbon toughness without the cost of a race wheel

NOT IDEAL FOR

Fast gravel racing where aero matters (see Pinnacle Race)

Cyclists who want the lightest gravel wheel for long climbing days (see Jocassee)

Road and all-road riding on narrower tires (see 44mm Prologue Carbon Disc or Altamont Alloy Disc)

How we built a carbon wheel for the rough line.

1 - Performance Targets First

Impact strength and durability are set before anything else. The Reiver is built for cyclists who hit things.

2 - Rim architecture

A shallow 25mm profile chosen for vertical compliance, not aero, with a 26mm internal width for high-volume tires. Offset spoke drilling (2.8mm) balances tension side to side for a stronger wheel.

3 - Carbon layup strategy

A reinforced layup built for everyday abuse, not just race day, with carbon placed where rocks and roots actually land.

4 - Dimensional control + QC

Bead seat, ERD, and critical interfaces inspected so every build starts true.

5 - Spoke & tension plan

Pillar TB2016 J-bend spokes with brass nipples, laced 2X front and rear. Easy to replace in the field or at any shop.

6 - Handbuilt, stress-relieved

Multiple tension cycles, stress relief, and final balance checks. Stays true through the rough stuff.

7- Final inspection

Runout, dish, tension balance, hub function, and tubeless setup are checked before it ships.

Every part earns its place.

Carbon Rims

Every cut and ply of carbon plays a story in how a rim responds. Reinforced layup where it matters to add extra strength and make the Reiver an everyday wheel, not just for race days.

Grade 36 Hubs

The new Grade 36 hubs are built for reliability, durability, and performance. Weighing just 340 grams for the set, the hubs feature a ratchet drive system with 36 teeth and just 10 degrees of engagement

TPI Bearings

The TPI Abec 3 bearings are used throughout the industry as a reliable and durable bearing that rolls smoothly and provides the longevity for use in all conditions.

Handbuilt

Every wheel goes through 5 different work centers, before being QCed for true, run out, and spoke tension. This ensures every wheel will keep running as true as the day you received them.
