The Boyd Cycling Trade-In for Juniors Program makes it easier to upgrade to a new set of wheels while helping the next generation of riders get better equipment.

You can trade in any wheelset they currently own — any brand, any model, and in any condition — and receive 20% off a brand-new Boyd Cycling wheelset.

It doesn’t matter if the wheels are old, worn, damaged, or simply outgrown. Send them to us, and we’ll apply the trade-in discount toward a new Boyd wheelset.

Once the traded wheels arrive at Boyd Cycling, our team will inspect them. If the wheels are still in good, safe, usable condition, we’ll give them a second life by donating them to a younger rider who needs equipment.

That means one trade-in can help two cyclists: you get the opportunity to upgrade to a new Boyd wheelset, while another may receive equipment that helps them stay in the sport and keep riding.

How It Works

  1. Fill out the form  - tell us about the wheels you're trading in.

  2. Receive 20% off a new Boyd Cycling wheelset.

  3. After your new wheels arrive, ship your old set back with our prepaid label.

  4. If they are safe and usable, Boyd Cycling will donate them to a younger rider in need.

  •  * We will provide a shipping label, and you can reuse the box your wheels shipped in, OR you can trade in the wheels at your local shop to keep them within your community

Because Boyd was that young cyclist. He grew up on hand-me-downs and wheels rescued from the shop dumpster, and he knows how much a solid set of wheels can mean to a young rider. We want cycling to be open to every young cyclist, not just the ones whose families can afford new gear.

To young cyclists who wouldn't normally have access to good equipment. We inspect every wheelset, and the ones that are safe and rideable go straight to a young rider who needs them.

Fill out the trade-in form and tell us a little about your rider and the wheels you're trading in.

No. You get your new wheels first. Once they arrive, send the old set back within 30 days using the prepaid label we provide. The box your new wheels came in works perfectly.

We inspect every set. If a wheelset is safe and rideable, we pass it on to a younger rider who needs one, so your old wheels help another kid get started in the sport. We recycle wheels that can't be ridden safely.
